Boxes - AppendPrepend Value or Column or Assign Value

1. Static Value

This box is used to append, prepend or assign a static value to a cell. It won't add a whitespace before or after that value. When choosing to assign this static value to a cell everything will be replaced by that static value.

Example: You need a column with "Free shipping" as an information for the shipping cost.

Use Static Value to assign

"Free Shipping"

to that column.

2. Append/Prepend Value

This box is used to add fixed value(s) at the beginning or end of a cell. It also adds a whitespace before the value when you chose to append. When prepending the value a whitespace after the static value is added.

Example: Add "Free delivery!" at the end of the product description.

description before:

"Yourdomain basic T-Shirt blue. 100% Cotton, Size XL."

5. Append/Prepend Column

This box is used to add the value(s) of a column included in your feed at the beginning or at the end of a cell. You also can enter a static text that should be before or after the dynamic value. If there is no dynamic value in the column the static value won't be added to the cell.As the box explained before, it also adds a whitespace before the value when you chose to append. When prepending the value a whitespace after the static value is added.

Example: Add the available size to the product description. There is a fixed value: "Size:", and a dynamic value: "13", as this changes according to each product.

description before:

"Yourdomain Biker boots brown. Upper material: leather, internal material: leather, sole: high-quality synthetics, cover sole: leather."

After using the box:

"Yourdomain Biker boots brown. Upper material: leather, internal material: leather, sole: high-quality synthetics, cover sole: leather. Size: 13"

Descending order

The order in which you place the rule boxes is very important. Productsup uses a descending order. This means that the box you place first, or at the top, will be executed before the boxes that follow.

This sequence will be:

6. Append/Prepend Column if Value Not Present

This box works like Append/Prepend Columnbox, but checks first if the value is not present to avoid duplicates.

Example:
