OpenAI SFTP
Deliver high-scale product catalogs directly to OpenAI via SFTP.
Overview
OpenAI Product Feed enables you to make products discoverable inside ChatGPT.
In the past, OpenAI supported an API upload method. OpenAI has since transitioned to an SFTP-based approach. This is the standard supported method and offers improved performance when moving large-scale catalogs.
For existing setups via OpenAI's legacy API upload method, Productsup suggests migration to the SFTP method.
Prerequisites in OpenAI
Register with OpenAI to obtain SFTP credentials.
Steps in Productsup
Add the OpenAI export.
Add the SFTP/FTP/FTPS Server destination. Configure the following fields:
- Protocol: SFTP
- Host: determined by your OpenAI SFTP
- Port: determined by your OpenAI SFTP — defaults to
22in most cases. - Username: determined by your OpenAI SFTP
- Password: determined by your OpenAI SFTP
OpenAI accepts .csv file extension, which is Productsup's default. However you must contact your OpenAI representative for pre-approval before submitting your feed in this format.
