How Productsup Kai generates answers
Understand where Productsup Kai's answers come from, how to review their sources, and where AI-generated answers reach their limits.
Productsup Kai does not select a prewritten answer. Instead, it generates an answer based on your question, the context of your current conversation, and relevant information from the Productsup documentation.
For each question, Kai:
- Searches the Productsup documentation for relevant information.
- Uses this information together with your question and the current conversation context to generate an answer.
- Displays the answer together with the relevant sources so that you can review the underlying documentation.
Because answers are generated dynamically, asking the same question more than once may result in slightly different wording.
Review the sources of an answer
Every answer that is based on documentation ends with a Sources row. Each source is a link to the article the answer draws on.
Select a source to open the article in a new browser tab. Use the sources to confirm details before you act on an answer, especially for steps that change a configuration.
AI-generated answers and their limits
Answers come from an AI system and are not reviewed by a person before you see them. Kai can be wrong, out of date, or incomplete, and it can present an incorrect answer confidently.
Treat every answer as a starting point:
- Verify important details in the linked source articles.
- Verify a configuration change against the documentation before you apply it in a production site.
- Use the feedback controls if an answer seems incorrect or incomplete.
Caution
Do not rely on Kai as the only source for decisions with a business or compliance impact, such as what data you are allowed to send to a channel.
