Publish your changes in Dataflow or Data View
This feature isn't live yet. Coming soon!
If you make any changes to your data in Dataflow or Data View, the platform doesn't export the changed data during the next run until you publish your changes.
You can change the attribute connections or edit your data using rule boxes or rule box conditions without a risk of exporting unverified data. At any time, you can review your or your collaborator's unpublished changes and either discard them or approve and publish. Only after publishing, the platform includes the changed data into the next export. Or you can revert the published changes to the older settings by selecting from the autosaved versions.
The platform saves a draft of the following changes made with:
Rule boxes in Dataflow or Data View:
Adding, editing, pausing, or removing a rule box.
Changing the order of a rule box.
Scheduling a rule box in Data View.
Connection mapping in Dataflow:
Adding or removing a connection between the Dataflow stages.
Selecting and applying any option from the Automap Connections dropdown.
Selecting any option from the Delete dropdown under the More button.
Rule box conditions in Dataflow or Data View:
Adding, editing, or deleting a rule box condition.
Note
If you have shared dataflows, when anyone in your organization changes data in the source dataflow, those changes don't apply to the shared dataflows until someone in your organization publishes them.
Review and publish your changes
Every time you make any changes described in the previous section, a gray info banner appears above the upper toolbar, showing the number of changes you made.

Note
You can see and publish not only the changes you make, but also those made by other users in your organization.
To publish your changes in Dataflow or Data View:
Select Review changes in the gray info banner.
Review the log of the changes listed in the Unpublished changes popup.
Select Publish.
Every time you publish the changes, you can view an autosaved version of the previous settings in Versions. You can revert the published settings to the older version, for example, to prevent overwriting your settings by other users. The platform saves up to 10 autosaved versions before overwriting the older ones. You can still create your manual versions without a limit.
Discard the changes
You can discard all unpublished changes if you don't want to publish them.
Note
For now, you can only discard all changes displayed in the Unpublished changes popup. It's impossible to edit or delete the changes of your choice in the popup. To delete or edit a specific change, you must do it in the particular area of Dataflow or Data View where you applied this change before.
For example, you added four (4) connections and one (1) rule box. Then, you decided to revert the changes made with the rule box. You can't currently discard a particular change from the popup. You must go to Dataflow or Data View and delete this rule box. And then, you can select Publish to apply the rest of the changes.
To discard your changes in Dataflow or Data View:
Select Review changes in the gray info banner.
Review the log of the changes listed in the popup.
Select Discard all.
In the Discard changes popup, confirm your decision by selecting Discard all again.
